All men, regardless of age, profession, and status, use women to care for them. Women are required to provide nourishment even as they age and waste away. There is always another man in line to serve. 

 

In Machismo #3, we see several symbolic patterns repeated. The curtains remind us of the absurdity of the performance. Every single man in line has his own individually patterned halo. The women’s faces still don’t matter and they have plain halos.

 

As the elderly woman offers herself even into exhaustion, the younger woman serves as an aide enabling the process.
